Hi Everyone,
I'm also using Outlook 2007, and Window-Eyes is very strange, and GW
Micro was able to duplicate the problems I was having with it.
I hope that they resolve theese issues soon, with Outlook 2007, as
I'm sure many use it for either email or our cell phone contacts,
such as myself. It's so crazy, the way it behaves with Window-Eyes,
yet JAWS users, are using it just fine. Now don't worry, I gladly
sold my JAWS, and I'm loving Window-Eyes a whole bunch! <smile>
Thanks.

Hello John. It's not a matter of priorities, but a matter of time.
Also, most sighted users who take time to post blogs about having
to view messages with Word in Outlook will also be complaining. So
it's not just a blind user annoyance. I believe I remember seeing
somewhere on the net a macro that someone wrote which will solve
your problems. The thing about this, it's a macro which works
whether you are blind or not, and whether you use WE or not.
Google is your friend in this case as I don't have any further
specifics on this.
many thanks.

Dear list, particularly any scripters out there.
With the recent discussion on generic or specific scripts I thought I would
bring this to your attention.
I am a user of Outlook 2007 but do not feel that I am technically up to the
task of writing my own scripts.
There are two issues in Outlook 2007 that I feel a script or two would be of
help.
Outlook 2007 moved to using a MS Word interface exclusively. With earlier
versions of Outlook once the e-mail had been selected and the <enter> button
was pressed then the e-mail would talk automatically. Now, I have to press a
key. Yes, not too onerous, but it would be nice to have it automatically
read. I did try the "read mail" script but this did not work for Outlook
2007.
The other issue is that at times, quite frequently with mail shots etc,
there is a fully formatted html e-mail, with tables, etc. Window-eyes in
Outlook 2007 just cannot handle this at all. It is necessary to use <alt>xv
to view the e-mail in your browser. This is really quite an ugly way of
doing things. In a lot of cases the author has recognised that there may be
an issue and presents a link in the e-mail to view the e-mail with your
browser, but the rendering of the e-mail in Outlook 2007 is so bad that the
Window-Eyes user cannot identify that link in a reliable manner.
GW Micro staff have not yet produced such a script, I guess it does not come
high enough up in their list of priorities.
Is there a script expert out there with Outlook 2007 who would take this
task on?
I am certain I am not the only one on this list who would be grateful.
Regards, John
