Actually the IE focus issue was also a problem with window-Eyes 6.1. It
does not mean it's related to the browse mode issues we have discussed
which you keep reminding us about. While it's true that sometimes we can
work around software bugs because the manufacturer can't or won't get a
round tuit, we don't like doing this because it might add problems in
the long run. For example, if you open the contacts in Windows Vista and
you have access technology running, it crashes when you start using the
arrow keys to browse them. This is a Microsoft bug. With Window-Eyes
7.01 we worked around this so it does not crash. Should we have fixed
that? Or should we have waited for Microsoft to fix it first? We have to
make decisions like this with some cases and sometimes we do it, other
times we don't. There are many things we must weigh in order to go
forward in acting or waiting.
Many thanks.

I may have misunderstood the early posts on this subject but I think GW
has indicated that WE 7 caused the shortcomings of the current browse
mode to raise its ugly head with more problems showing up. If I
misunderstood this please someone at GW correct me.
My problem if this is true is that GW is going to hit us with another
update cost to correct it.
