Hi, Kathy,
The Focus is listed as one of the displays WindowEyes supports.
I have used several braille displays. I have used a BrailleNote 32 with
WindowEyes. Presently, I'm using a HandyTech braille Wave.
I think you get more for your money if you buy a braille display which has
notetaking capability for several reasons: (1) You can create more braille
hot keys than you can on a stand-alone display (2) You can take notes or use
it as a PDA without lugging around a laptop (3) You can use some of them
with your cell phone and read and write messages and operate the phone from
the braille display/notetaker's keyboard (4) They have a longer battery life
than laptops, especially the HandyTech braille displays.
I prefer using a 32 or 40 cell display. 20 cells isn't enough for me.
I have used the Navigator and the PowerBraille 40, neither of which have
notetaking capability and I much prefer the notetaker capabale displays.
I would hesitate to buy any display from Freedom Scientific. My past
experience with them hasn't been good.
