Except that I find the Dectalk voices to be more annoying for general
day-to-day use. So I don't use it except when I'm attempting to make it
sing.

Well dectalk responds faster at least it does here. so if you just use it

well in all honesty I'm not a particular fan of Eloquence either. The only
reason I use it at all is because of its fast response time.

That's an elloquence bug. As far as I know, it doesn't have to be a
long
sentence. It can do that just reading a paragraph for no apparent
reason. It happens with jaws a lot and I'm pretty sure I could make it
happen if I fired up viavoice with nvda. It's one reason that I'm a
huge
eloquence detracter.
