1. go to bestbuy.com
2. click weekly add
3. wait for the new window to open.
4. wait several seconds, say, 10 - 15 seconds and then turn off and then turn on browse mode, that's to say if the MSAA buffer isn't automatically refreshed.
5. Go to top of page and then press c to find the form field you're after.
Remember, once you've entered and submitted your zip code it will be there next time you click on weekly add which means that you won't have the editbox for the zip code unless, of course, you delete your temperary internet files.

Let us know how you get on.

Being the one that started this thread on both my XP and Vista machines when I go to www.bestbuy.com and hit enter on weekly ads Ithe next page that comes up I think has a flash box asking for your zip code. With both IE 7 and Firefox 3 I can not access this edit box to type in my zip code. I have tried reloading, refreshing the page and nothing gives me access to the edit box. Their little statement for screen reader support directs you to us a script and JAWS to access the site. The last thing I want is JAWS. So if you have a solution to this problem please provide step by step instructions.
Just a few weeks ago I could access this page with no problems.

John,

To me it looks like it is something to do with ShopLocal which provides the ads for all of the businesses mentioned. At the top of the ad page there is a link to visually impaired users and I think this may shed a little light on what is going on.

Maybe I'm missing something though.

Don,
Can I please ask you to be more specific about your problem and less
preoccupied with what GW Micro has admitted or not?
There are two website addresses here but no details of the steps you
perform before you run into your problem.
Please send us more information and I and others here will do our
best to help you.
Kind regards
John

Go to www.jcpenney.com and do the same thing. Also go to
www.qvc.com and you will come up with the same problem. Since WE
7.01 many links on web pages do nothing when you click on them. GW
has already admitted that 7.01 did some damage to browse mode.

Look I am a long time user of WE and support GW completely however
it is not wrong to say something thatis wrong with WE. What url
do you need. just go to www.bestbuy.com and click on the weekly
ad. The next screen that comes up has a edit box to enter your
zip and WE can not access it.

Please, let us not jump to conclusions. The experience of one
person does not amount to a major design fault. It helps even
less to vent one's frustrations on GW Mico when the problem may
lie much closer to home.

Up until a few weeks ago you could access the Best Buy weekly
ad with WE. Now when you click on the weekly Ad link it takes
you to a page where you need to enter a zip code to move on to
the ads. We will not read this edit box. This is also true
with the JC Penney weekly ad as well as certain links on the
QVC web site that can not be accessed with WE.
It would seem to me that us WE users are falling behind in our
access of the internet. Whether the current work GW says it
is doing to improve browse mode will fix this problem I don't
know or whether making JAVA support a high priority this is
the first time in a very long time that WE isn't doing its job really well.
The Best Buy weekly ad site goes as far to say you need JAWS
to access it.
