An even faster way is to just start typing while you are in the history
window. You will automagically focus over to the input window.

Another way to read your message a person sends to you is use the f6
key. that will take you back to history and when you are finished
reading you can press f6 to go back to the edit field to type your message.

If you maximize the screen whilst you are talking to someone that
will help. Also make sure you turn off the tool bars which appear
above the message box you enter your text. Use shift and shift tab
to navigate to reading the message from the other person. Use tab
to go back to the message box to type your message. Use the down
arrow if you want to read message from the other person.
I think you mean that you want to hear if someone logs into umm
messenger. Not sure if WE does that will have to ask hearing people
on that one. (smiling.)
