Hi. If you will be reading/writing email, browsing the Internet, and
using very new software, then Vista is fine. If you will be working with
a lot of audio, or using older software which was written incorrectly by
putting everything in the program files folder, even the user data, then
you will have to modify the way that software installs, install it to
somewhere other than program files, or not use Vista. many people can't
stand the user account control (uac), and just turn it off. I personally
like the uac and the new start menu of Vista, but I don't like they way
Vista handles audio devices, and I don't like how buggy drivers for
various things still seem to be. All that being said, many people have
used Vista far longer than they ever used ME, so I think the comparison
between Vista and XP is not as bad as the comparison between ME and 98 was.

Is there any way of installing vista without sighted assistance. Also,
is it worth installing this OS as I've heard that it is going the same
way of the ME version released by Microsoft a few years ago, i.e. down
the toilet.
Is it best to wait for whatever is coming next, stay with XP, just
install Vista, or do a dual boot which gives the option of both vista
and XP?
