Alan My preference in replying -- and this is what I almost always attempt to do -- is reply to an entire list. That way, more folks benefit from responses than one individual.
It seems to me that the point of a list is not only to answer specific questions but to educate the readership. And what if I answer incorrectly, the recipient doesn't get it, and how does anyone know if something has or has not been addressed. I realize that there is no right or wrong answer to this, but just perspectives. My feel is that if I am going to respond to a question, everyone ought to benefit from that answer. It is a glorious thing to know that your Father God makes no mistakes in directing or permitting that which crosses the path of your life. It is our glory to trust Him, no matter what.
