And there is always SenseNav on the BraileSense + if you're going to go the
route of GPS on a braille Notetaker.

Right ok. So you couldn't even use something like geo because that's the
next in line when it comes to price range. And there would be no point
in you buying a phone just for that, then getting some sort of braille
display to work with it, because once you had purchased all that, you
might as well have gone down the route of trekker or braillenote gps.

Well I use a system called wayfinderaccess. It's only up to v2.5 but I
must say I really do ike it. Out of all the gps solutions for blind
people that are outthere, it really is the cheapest and you can tryal
before you buy as well. It will work on any nokia or most nokia branded
phones, with either mobilespeak or talks a your screen reader, it's
definitely worth a look. Because other than the external gps unit and
your phone, there really is nothing else you need to carry about with
you. I don't have a cell phone, so that's not really an option either.
Cell
phones all interfere with my hearing aids. And I can't afford one that
doesn't.
