Raul,

It sounds right; but some people have complained to me that the old
style of menus let you look for, and find, options that you needed.
Evidently, the ribbon doesn't offer you all your options, so if you know
you need to insert a row in a table, but you don't know how to do that,
it's hard to find using the ribbon.

I've never used, so can only offer a summary of comments I've received,
but if that's the case, loosing "discoverability" is a step backwards.

Do you know, is that the case with the ribbon?

(I did receive one email supporting 2007 off list, so at least one
person feels it's better)  It may not be fair to categorize everyone
else who does though as being afraid of change.

I do know there is one strong reason to prefer 2007: the older binary
format for storing word documents is much more fragile, much more prone
to corruption, than is the newer xml format.
