Hi Michael, Things are usually located in their right places automatically. This is done using the Genre tag in the ID3 tag information of the file. So if the Genre is audiobook it will go in the Audiobooks folder, same with Podcasts, same with music. If the genre is not found, I believe it looks at the file type information. So if it is MP3 or M4A then it is music, MPG is movies etc.
All the best Steve -----Original Message----- From: Michael McGhee [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday 9 March 2009 23:29 To: 'Jim Grimsby Jr.'; 'Robert Clark' Cc: [email protected] Subject: WE and Itunes Hi folks Yep, sorted with the selecting of music and uploading selected albums and songs etc to my ipod using window-eyes, great! My question, can anyone tell me how to upload certain media to specific locations on my ipod classic. It has different sections for movies, music, audio books etc. I don't want to be listening to music and suddenly here a track from the middle of an audio book, so how do I tell itunes to put the music in the music folder, the video in the video folder and the audio books into the audio book folder? Also, when listening to an audio book using an ipod is your place in the book remembered each time you go back to it? Thanks for the help Michael -----Original Message----- From: Jim Grimsby Jr. [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 09 March 2009 22:56 To: 'Robert Clark' Cc: [email protected] Subject: RE: SPECIFIC SETTINGS FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS!!! This is true. I ran under the assumption that the person in question did not know where to find the data in the manual and therefore provided it. this was intended to do two things. One answer the gentleman's question. Two to show what a valuable resource the manual could be. I am unclear why the gentleman in question is sorry for asking the question. After all he has received very good answers to his question so far. -----Original Message----- From: Robert Clark [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, March 09, 2009 3:06 PM To: GW Micro Subject: Re: SPECIFIC SETTINGS FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS!!! But there is another way to learn, by reading the manual. Many people find it easier to ask questions tho, even basic ones that are covered in manuals. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research.
