Hello. If you have installed sets from an older version of Window-Eyes, you will need to run the menu item to convert all sets to current format. However since version 6.1 of Window-Eyes, we changed how associations work. So although your sets might be converted, you might have to re associate them with the application. To do this, run the application, then control-backslash to open the WE panel, now, alt-f, o, s to open the set file. Type the set file name and press enter. Save the set file with alt-f, s, s and make sure to keep the same name. if it creates the new association, WE will prompt you for this and all you need to do is confirm it with yes.

Hope this helps.

Also Raul and all,

Is there any steps I can take to repair all of the files in a set file to help make WE work?

Thanks,

John

Hi all,

I'm using the Kurzweil Display Reader and WE 5.5.

I believe the sets that were written were done in WE 4.2 or 4.5.

There are a total of four files here. A couple of K2???.000 files, a .we file and a .dic file. I upgraded the sets to my latest version and now the KDR program screen is properly populated with the information from my Kurzweil musical keyboard. Yet, still nothing is working like it is suposed to.The KDR program is the same on I was using back then, the only difference is that I am using a different version of Window-Eyes. Incidentally, I didn't write the original WE set files for the KDR. Does anyone know how I can go about fixing these files to work with WE 5.5? Also, is there anyone else on the list that is using this program with WE?

Thanks,

John
