I have to agree that, so far, 4.1 works better with WE for me than 4.0.

I installed skype 4.1 beta and it does work much better with WE than 4.0
did. If you go to tools then options, check the first box and skype will
call people in the contact list when you hit enter on them. Another thing
that helped is another radial button in the general tab which switches the
screen from skype to classic windows. Things didn't read at all until I
flipped that radial button.

Subject: skype 4.1 beta
Hello Gw staff and All,
So I just installed skype 4.1 beta, and so far it is more accessible than
the skype 4.0. it seems also to run a bit faster, more smoother. things
that didn't read correctly with window-eyes now read with wineyes. one
thing that what I miss that that they haven't brought back is, the
boxwhereyou can type anumber, or a skype id, and hit enter and it would
call
that person, you can no longer hit enter you have to tab to call or go to
the call menu and downerrow to call. I wish you could just hit enter like
in skype 3.8. the scripts seem to work ok.
wone conflict I find, since I am using windows 7 is, windows 7 uses
windows
1 through 0 hot keys as hot keys to launch programs off the taskbar... so
when you run skype commands from the skype script ie,
control+shift+windows+1, that launches my microsoft outlook 2003 and it
askes me if I want to run outlook in safe mode that seems to be the only
conflict so far. so far I like skype 4.1 much better than 4.0. I think
it
will be much better in terms of accessability.
I think those of you inclined should try it so you guys can give gw and
skype feedback so they can get any fixes done in this beta phase.
thanks.
