Reg,

I'm not sure if it is counter-intuitive but it certainly is non-standard. Look at any Windows application and try this. You'll find the menu doesn't go back where you were. Again, this is just the way Windows does it.

Regards,
Doug

Thanks Chip, that fixed it.

Now am I alone in finding it odd that, once I close the script manager,
I'm returned to the W-E control panel rather than the "manage sets and
scripts" menu? In general, once I've closed a menu item, I think I'd
rather go back to the menu, but perhaps some would find this
counter-intuitive?

Reg,

I think the script manager is very confusing in the radio buttons it has
about which scripts it should show you.

I believe you have your radio button choice set to show you all the
currently running scripts for a particular application. that means it won't
show you any of the others, only the ones running specifically for skype (if
you're running skype at the moment for example).

If you'll just go into the script manager and change the radio button for
displayed scripts to be "all by name", I think you'll get the kind of
display you want; the one with all the running scripts.

hth,

Chip

On that machine, the script manager shows me only one script. For instance,
if I'm running Skype, the script manager shows only Skype under currently
running scripts "one of one". Under "installed packages" all the other
scripts are shown as installed.

Reg,

Why do you think your other scripts are not running? What does it say
next to them as their status if it doesn't say "running"?

Subject: Running scripts

On my XP machine, the script manager only shows one script running,
like Skype or Explorer. GW Toolkit ETC are shown as installed, but
they don't seem to be running, and I don't know how to start them.

As to script management in general, I'm not too clear about this, but
it seems awkward that whenever I exit an option, I'm thrown back to
the control panel, rather than able to explore other options. Not
sure if that makes any sense.

Thanks for any help.
