It's also happening here, xp service pack 3, ie8, Thought I could maximize when I'm on a web page, but isn't so. alt-space bar doesn't put you on the sizing icon to maximize or normalize your window. I just tried it again and it is still doing the same thing. I press Alt+space and then I press x to maximize it. it does not maximize the screen and w/e stops working until I alt tab out of that window. could having more than one tab open cause this or having accelerators cause this.
