Hello Wendy: Our change control and problem management system has similar challenges. This is an application that started on a mainframe computer then was updated to have a web interface as its front end.
There are areas on the screen that I need to find with the mouse pointer which do not have a text label and some of which I had to reduce the minimum graphic size in the WE control panel so that I could find it by moving around using insert+home or insert+page up on the numeric keypad. There are one or two icons where I have to move the mouse pointer a few pixels at a time before issuing a left mouse click. Hmm, this is something I should probably script. No answers for you, but you can take comfort in that you are not alone. I could go through the archives, of course, but that might take a long time, so please forgive me. I do some surveys online, and one I have just received is behaving rather strangely. I don't think I can send you the link, as you have to register with survey providers, so the link will have my ID in it. The first page comes up with a set of questions, with nice check boxes, but there is no button or link at the bottom to go to the next page. I am using IE8, XP Home SP3. Does anyone think I may be doing something wrong? I am also new to IE8, having just installed it, and I have disabled tab browsing, as I didn't fancy it. Any ideas would be welcome.
