Hi Mark:
Nothing wrong with telling someone to look it up in the manual, as an
answer to a question, but I would have worded it a little differently,
for instance:
"The shortcuts should be available in the Outlook Reference guide."
That way, you've made a suggestion and it doesn't sound so repremanding.
