Thanks for that Jim. I shall go to that site sometime. Yeah I decided to go
back to Window-Eyes because I was using JAWS before and I got tired of it
crashing when I used some SAPI speech synthesizers. Window-Eyes and SAPI get
along just fine, and I don't get any lag that most people complain about
when using it. I just got a new Neospeech voice just recently, Julie, and
she's awesome. It would be nice if GW Micro had some sort of relationship
with the real sounding companies like Nuance or Acapela or maybe even
Neospeech or AT&T. But what boggles my mind is why it doesn't work with the
Loquendo voices but anyway, that's another story.
I switched from WE to JAWS because I got tired of it interrupting my speech
in MSN Messenger when someone typed a message but now I'm using T Man's
Talking Miranda. Wish there was a version that doesn't need to rely on my
SAPI synthesizers because it gets annoying when someone logs in or out or if
they changed their status. The thing is that I haven't found a version of it
that announces what it should.
And now for my final comment, I'm glad that GW Micro made a layout for JAWS
hot keys for WE, but what about the people that use laptops such as myself
and have used JAWS before on a laptop? I think in the future, there should
be a JAWS for desktop and a JAWS for laptop setup because I sometimes forget
that the capslock key is not the Window-Eyes key and I turn capslock on by
accident. Lol. But hey, that's a suggestion. I'll close this email. Thanks
for reading!
Shawn
