Hey Mike,
Don't worry about it man, you just stirred up the cheer-leaders.

If you'd been praising micro-soft the same folks would have bashed you for it, some folks just like to run their heads.

New technology is a pain in the ass somethings, I teach and do tech work for others as well as my self, and I have to deal with it and routinely cuss stuff that has to change needlessly.

Those fine programmers up at micro-slop have to change things to justify their big pay-checks, and sighted people want pretty and fancy and then they bitch when their computers run slower, you know how it goes.

Hey I can help you with that short cut.

Get on your icon and do a alt-enter for properties.

Then you can tab through there and you'll have a place where you can type in your hot-key it'll be control-alt- blah blah blah by default.

Easy fix.

I'm frankly amazed at how much extra band width this thread generated, well, amused anyway.

I guess I'll just add to the amusement.

Anyway good luck on your journey through the land of changing technology, and if you ever act so every slightly human on the list, and express some annoyance, you'll get no flack from me.

I bet everyone who gave you such a hard time ain't exactly perfect people either.

Still, your appology is graceous, and shows maturity and sensitivity, something a lot of folks could use a bit of,
'grin'.

I"m glad at least one other person on here understood where you were coming from.

It's hard to keep getting bricks thrown in your path when you just want to do simple no-brainer tasks.

And it's all designed to get in your pocket.

That's just how the world works unfortunately.

You still have the options of using older software, operating systems,
etc if you go off the beaten path,
but micro-junk doesn't even follow it's own standards, so expect anything 'grin'.

Take care.

Hello fellow window-eyes users,
I have a quick question, that is, if people are still speaking to me. I have an icon for the Duxbury Braille Translator on my desktop, and I'd like to create a hotkey, preferably ctrl alt D, that I can use as a shortcut to run the program, without having to search through the menus and multiple icons on the desktop all the time: Not that that's a bad thing. I like using the menu structure, but sometimes, when I'm pressed for time, I like to use shortcuts for things. How would I do this. By the way, I'm having a much better day today. As far as I'm concerned, everything that happened yesterday, is in the past. I hope that we can berry the hatchit, and move on peacefully like we've always have been. and the next time I have a bad day, (and I'm sure I probably will), if I happen to post to the list on that day, I promise not to react in such a fierce mannor: especially on the list. Have a wonderful day everyone. Oh, and thanks in advance for your help.
