Ray and Rick, give Peachtree Complete Accounting a trial run. Peachtree is now part of the Sage family of products but I believe you can get a demo copy from:

www.peachtree.com

Window-Eyes works reasonably OK with the 2008 version I have although I do need to upgrade it like yesterday.

Also, take a good look at Cash Manager from Accomplish Global based in New Zealand. A U.S. version of this software has just recently been launched. Visit:

www.us.accomplishglobal.com

to obtain a demo copy. I haven't done much with it, but got an announcement about it. I do plan to give it a spin sometime soon though.

It is tough to find BUSINESS APPLICATION software out there that's accessible and, I am NOT CERTAIN that screen reader developers really pay attention to this especially since the number of persons needing them are too few as they always say.

Like you Rick, I had to FIRM OUT payroll to Paychex; I'd rather do it inhouse to keep the cost down a bit, but I understand that the TAX AND OTHER RULES change a lot. Where I live, we have OCCUPATIONAL PRIVILEGE TAX paid monthly by companies and individuals. I am investigating other payroll services like CompuPay, Inc. and Paychecks, Inc. These allow you to PLUG-IN the numbers online and they'll take care of everything else thereafter. They are a beat cheaper too.

Sincerely,
Olusegun
