Window-Eyes works great on my Asus netbook. It's running Windows 7
Starter, but that doesn't mean to say I have to stick with it. I could
upgrade to a higher edition of Windows 7, such as Home Premium or
Professional or even Ultimate if I choose. So, in theory, you could buy
a netbook with Windows 7 Starter, which is garbage only because it's
limited in functionality for the average home user, then take advantage
of the Windows Anytime Upgrade program to upgrade to a higher edition of
Windows 7.

Hi Everyone,
I loved my Acer Netbook, and I never had one minute's problem with it
and the loving Window-Eyes. The two of them worked great together.
Now, I sold it, and I'm going to try and get a Netbook or small laptop,
probably another Acer, with Windows Seven on it.
I need to know what people are using for Netbooks and Windows Seven with
the loving Window-Eyes. <smile>
Either that, or I might go with a small laptop. Please tell me what you
all think of Windows Seven Starter Edition. I hear it is garbage, and
I've been advised not to get anything with Starter Edition on it. Please
tell me your thoughts.
Thanks much.

I respect GW Micro's decision not to allow others to exploit the
payment plan by receiving a fully licensed copy with no limits before
it is fully paid for. Doing so is not at all favorable to those of us
who have paid in full for Window-Eyes and had to because there wasn't
a payment plan at the time. There is no other Screen Reader Developer
around who allows this sort of payment plan as well.
So, kindly stop nosing for a privilege unerned and you know, with all
of this complaining, GW Micro could easily terminate this very
generous option.

Yes, I tried an Acer Netbook and found that my fingers were too big
for the Keyboard. Best, Craig R.

Hi Chriss,
I'll have to disagree with you on that.
I know someone who had an acer and it turned into a lemon.
Not to offend anyone here.
Just my opinion.

Go for an Acer. Their software are ok but in fact are not essential
for
daily operationl. All screen readers I've used work very well with
little to no exceptions.
