Read section 19.15 of the WE manual. You can edit existing markers
also without having to delete and add.

But that's just it. You don't take one marker out of a book and put
a new one in. You just move the marker you have already from where
you picked up, to where you left off.
The same should be true of window-eyes place markers. My client is
8. She's not really interested in the mechanics of place
marking. I can teach her what the various options do, but she isn't
going to fool around with a two step process of emersion into a
dialog box just to mark her place in a book.
There has to be a better way.

why after all you set the new marker so you don't need the old
one. it is like taking one marker out of the book to put the new
one in. it is also the standard for markers in word set the new
one and delete the old oned.

I have one.
One of my clients is an 8 year old girl. I've just started
teaching her to read books on her braille display. She got a book
from the cnib library website, and off we went.
When it came time to stop reading I set her up a place
marker. when we went back later to read from where we left off, it went fine.
I had a problem though because when I tried to update the place
marker for the new position in the book I couldn't figure it
out. So, any ideas about convenient ways to update place markers?
Best,

hi place markers were introduced in window-eyes 7.0.
if you are using 7.11 still you should update to 7.2.
to learn more about place markers see section 19.15: Place
markers in the window-eyes manual. after reading this if you
still have questions let us know.

Hi list,
what is the place marker feature, and how does it work in
Window-Eyes? Is it available in 7.11?
