Thanks for the suggestion about Shift-F10. The "Download Now" pop-up doesn't show up as a link,
for some reason, but when a sighted person clicks on it with the physical
mouse, the MP3 file downloads. I did try your idea, though, but what
downloaded was a copy of the page itself. That was despite my having
selected All Files, rather than Firefox Document, in the Save As dialog.

I've figured out how to get to the "Download Now" button, or whatever it
is, but I can't seem to route the mouse there, no matter what I set the
Mouse Rotor to. The manual says that Ctrl-Shift-f will route the mouse to
whatever you are searching for, but that doesn't appear to work, in this
case.

Thanks for any help,
Paula Muysenberg

have you tried pressing shift f10 to open the context menu on the link to
see if the save as option is there and download the files this way?

Thanks. The problem is that I don't want to close the window, but to
use
it to download a podcast. I found the Close link on the pop-up briefly,
by
Alt-tabbing and turning off Browse mode, but still couldn't find the
Download Now button. The whole thing then disappeared, as far as
Window-Eyes
was concerned. I repeated the same procedure, but WE still couldn't find
it.
I checked with my son, and the window was still there. I ended up having
him
download the program for me once again.

   Unfortunately, this site has no
Download link on which you can simply press Enter. The only way to
download
anything is via this elusive pop-up window.

Paula

the problem i have had with downloads is that w e does not have focus on
the pop up. i have to alt tab away from the pop up and back again then
it
will have focus.
with popups that are blocked i have to turn browse mode off then shift
tab
to the information bar to click on the allow or close message buttons.
then turn browse mode back on.

Hi,

I'm using WE 7.2 with XP and Firefox. I was trying to download
podcasts
from a website, and couldn't find a way to do it without sighted help.
My
son said a popup window appears over the text of the webpage, which
says,
"Download Now", but Window-Eyes didn't seem to see it. I did a Find and
located the text, but had no way to activate it. The numpad Ins with
Plus
did not move the mouse to the "Download Now" phrase, either.

The site is oneplace.com, but you have to register to download MP3
files. If anyone has used Oneplace, or dealt with a similar issue, I'd
appreciate any tips.

Thanks,
Paula Muysenberg
