Hi,
Go to the proving tab and tab until you find the check box that says automatic lists. Uncheck the box and press enter. This should fix the problem.

Hello folks. When I type in a microsoft word document word thinks it
is smarter than me and writes ahead. For example if I'm making a list
and the first item is 1. go to the store when I press enter to go to a
new line word automatically writes in the number 2. Is there a way to
disable this because it's getting really annoying.

Ditto here also.

Not only that, the only way I can get to those numbers to delete them, is to
back-space it out.

Help!
