Good point: you can pause the "read to end" feature of window eyes; it's all the other types of reading which you cannot pause. for instance; if a dialog opens and WE starts to automatically read you the contents of the dialog, then you cannot get it to pause. Chip

When I am reading something in Window-Eyes and need to pause, I simply press the up arrow and that stops the reading, after which I can again use the ctrl-shift-R command and things start more or less from where they left off. Of course, I usually back up a couple of lines just to refresh my memory on the context. Hi all, Is there a way to pause window eyes, then hit the hotkey again to have it continue from where it left off? I've experienced this with a different screen reader, and it is quite handy. Lol, sometimes I think sighted people forget that everything we do on the computer, requires us to listen. So when they interupt us, it is so nice to quickly pause speech, then just as quickly, pick up where I left off.
