Aloha Neville,
I have used viper, and I found it to slow down my computer substantially.
Here's some food for thought.
Windows Defender works well with Windows 7, and it has gotten good reviews.
I use it as my second opinion, sot of speak.
. My primary protection is Avast, which you needd to renew once a year for
free, and spybot, which is also free.
Good luck.
Aloha,
Manny
