Hi, Until you get it fixed, let me suggest Bible Gateway. It is totally accessible with Window-Eyes, and you get not only 1 translation, but many, including Young's Greek and Hebrew translations. You also get good commentaries like Matthew Henry and others on the particular passage you are studying.
It's a good site and I use it extensive when preparing sermons or just for my study. www.biblegateway.com Hope this will help a little until the other one gets fixed. Pastor Gil From: Johnny Angel! Sent: Saturday, October 02, 2010 2:36 PM To: [email protected] Subject: GW staff, please see message at bottom from Online Bible's Larry Pierce. From: Online Bible <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: Online Bible Tech Support Invalid moduel error. I use the screen reader Window-Eyes by GW-Micro Inc. at http://www.gwmicro.com . Because of this, I had to go back to version 2.10.0.x because it seems that the latest versions of the OLB and it's creators are not interested in making the OLB Bible accessible to the blind using the Window-Eyes screen reader. This morning, when I opened the OLB, I was asked to validate the install all over again by answering questions about screen reader usage once again and going through the "What's New" screen. Now, when I try to open any other moduels such as the Strongs concordence or perhaps another version, I am confronted with "Invalid moduel" error message and then I see a message stating the the program is not responding. I wish there was a way for me to repair the program but I can't find my OLB 2.10.0 installation file. Please either instruct me in how I can get the program to work with all of my purchased addons, or please be so kind as to send me a link to a copy of the OLB 2. 10.0 exe installation program. If you are unable to do either, then please make your next release accessible to Window-Eyes screen reader users. I absolutely know of many blind computer users using the very popular Window-Eyes screen reader program who are very disapointed in how Mr. Larry Pierce has ignored our complaints concerning the inacfcdessibility of the last few releases of what was once considered the best Biblical study program for the blind and for sighted users as well ever! But this "turning a blind eye" towards Window-Eyes users by making recent versions of the OLB inaccessible to us is why there are many of us blind computer users who, unfortunately have had to go back to much older versions of the OLB in order to access a goode Bible study program. Please don't simply cast this message off as just another disgruntled complainer. I am not wanting to come off as being that way at all. I am however, wishing to add my voice to the many blind Window-Eyes users who are in desperate need of a good, accessible version of a recent release of the Online Bible program. Please be so kind as to reconsider communicating with the wonderful folks at GW-Micro Inc. Their direct USA phone number is: 1-260-489-3671. The technical support is top notched, easy to access, and friendly to say the least. Thank you for hearing me out. I want to further say that I mean no disrespect towards Mr. Pierce at all. I am the man in Erie, PA who first contacted Mr. Pierce by phone a long time ago to ask him if he could make his DOS based program accessible to blind computer users by, for one thing giving us a "Tile as single window" screen option to make it easier for screen reader users to navigate the OLB program. Mr. Pierce, at that time was more then willing and gracious enough to accommidate us Window-Eyes useers. I understand that the JAWS folks have had a stronger advertising presence, and there are also many JAWS screen reader users who also need a good Bible study program like the OLB, but please understand, Window-Eyes has also been, and is most certainly a force to recen with as a very popular and powerful screen reader program and by rights should have the same respect by software programmers as well. Please be so kind as to consider what I am asking for here. Thank you again for helping, Sincerely, John Chilelli > Erie, PA > Home: 814-217-1880 > Email:[email protected] You have it all wrong. We have contact Window Eyes and they said they would help but never got back to us. We have had other Window eyes users use it with no complaints. We spoke to Aaron at <[email protected]> on January 22, 2010 who never got back to us after the initial contact. We are more then willing fix the program if someone tells us what to do. It works OK with Jaws. .. larry Johnny Chilelli Piano Tuning And Repair Services Don't wait another minute! Call 814-450-LIFE or, 814-450-5433 and put the LIFE back into your piano!
