What I use in text files that is easy to type is "eee" which is triple letter e. This is very easy to type and not likely to be used in words, but more importantly to me is that it is pronounced where some of the symbols might not be, and you might not know if you fail to delete them.

By the way, it works just fine, in things like Notepad, WordPad etc, for all of you who do not use Word as your main editor.
