Just to put this question to rest, most of us who use Lotus Notes do it because 
it is a requirement of our jobs.  Mail is stored on Notes Servers and 
generally are not accessible using other e-mail programs as they are not POP3 
etc.  In addition, employers use Lotus Notes for other purposes, too, such 
as electronic forms and team rooms.
