This kind of response never is helpful and only wastes time and energy in skipping around the issue and in the end never answering the question.

Hello,
To my understanding, lotus notes is an email program.
Why not try something like thunderbird?

Subject: Lotus Notes 8 Help Needed

Hi,

Is there someone out there who has some experience with Lotus Notes 8? I've been using Notes 8 on my machine at work for a while now, but somehow it was configured such that it didn't act much different than Lotus Notes 7. However, when I installed Notes 8 on my new home computer, I am running into some problems with how it works with Window-Eyes and do not know what to try. My work machine is running XP while the home machine is running Windows 7, and that may be part of the issue but I tend to think it has more to do with Notes configuration.

For example, I am unable to get messages to come up in browse mode when they are opened. If I try to turn Browse Mode on manually, I get the "Browse Mode Unavailable" message. When I close a message, I am not returned to the message list but seem to have to re-open the folder. This is very
cumbersome.

I have never completely understood the role of Lotus Notes templates, and it could be this is the issue. Therefore, it is not clear to me if this is a screen reader thing or a Notes issue and therefore recognize this may be a borderline topic for this list. Thanks for any insights.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
