Hi:

I have a used HP machine and I just got rid of most of them.

On this HP there was a trial of Norton Antivirus. It was there, but not
installed until I pressed Enter on it. Then it installed and was active.
This was on Windows XP back in 2002, but, I wonder if they used the same
tactic.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Subject: HP Programs On New Desktop

I now have my new HP desktop up and running with Windows 7 Home
Premium and Window-Eyes 7.2. I'm getting quite a few windows popping up
from HP Advisor that Window-Eyes doesn't read. JAWS doesn't read them
either. Should I just get rid of all of the HP programs such as HP Advisor,
HP Support Assistant and HP Games? I also have what I suppose is a trial of
Norton Internet Security, but I don't think it is active since I don't see
any sign of it in the System Tray. I haven't heard anything good about
programs from the Norton folks lately, accessibility wise.

I am just getting started with Windows 7 after skipping Vista. Fun!
Fun! Fun!
