When buying a PC the manufacturer will often load it with lots of
goodies. Some are nice to have, some are promotional, some are even
useful. In most cases they are not necessary. Often I will go through
add and remove programs under control panel and delete anything that is
a trial or I know I will never use.

Subject: HP Programs On New Desktop

I now have my new HP desktop up and running with Windows 7 Home Premium
and Window-Eyes 7.2. I'm getting quite a few windows popping up from HP
Advisor that Window-Eyes doesn't read. JAWS doesn't read them either.
Should I just get rid of all of the HP programs such as HP Advisor, HP
Support Assistant and HP Games? I also have what I suppose is a trial
of Norton Internet Security, but I don't think it is active since I
don't see any sign of it in the System Tray. I haven't heard anything
good about programs from the Norton folks lately, accessibility wise.

I am just getting started with Windows 7 after skipping Vista. Fun!
Fun! Fun!
