The update outdated has always worked that way. If you want to only update a specific set use the install button to install only that set. I, too, have noticed that some version numbers are not updated. Also, when the Update-Outdated option is pressed, we are asked to update all files, whether they need it or not and asked to confirm update choices for all files. I find this cumbersome since I may only want to update the files for the application I initially requested, not all applications. I also noticed that once the process is initiated, there is no way to get out of the process--the Escape key or Alt-F4 don't help.
