oh and while I am thinking about it is there some reason when updating we
have to see the ula again. just updated a number of gw micro scripts and
had to agree to the ula seven times. oh and all of them said exactly the
same thing they said when I first installed the package and further more
each one said the same thing as the other. so I think package creators
should have the option to allow the ula not to display if this is an
update.
also this is more true now that we are calling these things apps. there
should be an automatic update feature. where window-eyes checks for updates
every once and a while installs the updates with out user intervenchen so
when winamp 3.3 came out to day window-eyes should have just gone out and
got it for me and showed a nice little tool tip saying window-eyes installed
app updates. hmmm sounds like windows.

hi, this is correct. sorry have to say this. this should not even be an
issue. during the finalizing install when window-eyes installs sets it
really should install the latest version. also when installing default apps
it really should automatically check for updates and install the latest apps
as well.

Hi. I also noticed this but the list is refreshed if you exit the factory
settings list and run it again. It looks like the list does not refresh
itself after the update is done but it will do so when factory settings is
run from the file menu.

I found that the updated changes didn't show until I
rebooted.
Re Office sets, if you tab across to the read only edit
boxes to the right of each Office version you will find that
the only fully installed set is the one you selected. Don't
know why but that's what it is.

Noticed after upgrading my Windows 7 64 bit machine to the
WE beta when
I opened factory settings all the office sets were shown as
modified
which I assume all were installed. Before the upgrade only
the office
2003 sets were loaded.
Also after using the setting for updating all outdated
several sets
still appeared to not have been updated as the version
numbers were not
showing the latest version level.
Whether this is contributing to the problems with Windows
Explorer and
Word is beyond me.
