Don,
I found that the updated changes didn't show until I 
rebooted.

Re Office sets, if you tab across to the read only edit 
boxes to the right of each Office version you will find that 
the only fully installed set is the one you selected.  Don't 
know why but that's what it is.

Noticed after upgrading my Windows 7 64 bit machine to the 
WE beta when
I opened factory settings all the office sets were shown as 
modified
which I assume all were installed.  Before the upgrade only 
the office
2003 sets were loaded.
Also after using the setting for updating all outdated 
several sets
still appeared to not have been updated as the version 
numbers were not
showing the latest version level.
Whether this is contributing to the problems with Windows 
Explorer and
Word is beyond me.
