Hi!

I use Windoweyes 7.2 on a Lenovo Netbook with 1gb of ram. It is working
brilliant and without any problems.
These Netbooks mostly work faster with Win 7 than with xp, there are lots of
reviews out there talking about that. Have a look at amazon.

Regarding the speed of these netbooks: They are sometimes a bit slow when it
comes to cpu intensiv prozesses. But this is not WE related and is the same
without Windoweyes being used.

  Subject: WE and Netbooks

Now that the new version of WE is about to be released, I was wondering a bit
on how well it will work on Netbooks. I have been browsing a bit here locally,
and almost all the netbooks available, only comes with 1gb of ram. With the new
ones, comes Windows 7, and it seems to be quite popular with the starter
edition. I don't know why, but that is what most of the local netshops offer.
How well would WinEyes tie in with such a unit. 1gb sounds rather low to me,
even under XP, where I am today. And experience gives me the feeling the newer
Win7 OS won't be less agressive on the RAM. Am I right in that one? Or, has
there been a positive development in the combination of the newest OS and
newest WE version, as to RAM usage? Little use in buying a brand new unit, only
to realize it doesn't give enough efficiency due to lack of RAM. So any
feedback will be great here. Oh yes, I do know, a netbook never will be
anything but a secondary unit. I am just planning on using it for some
Emailing, browsing on the net, and also using it with Excel and word. But I
don't want a unit that makes me eat my lunch for every single tiny operation to
be completed. Smile! Thanks for any inputs.
