Twitter is for short sentence types of updates. This list allows
for prolonged detailed discussion.
It also allows for detailed discussion of problems, suggestions
interactively exchanged from both gw and other users.
Finally this list was established way prior to twittermany people for
whatever reason are more familiar with it so important information can
easily be exchanged with all levels of window-eyes proficient and computer
proficient users.
Because twitter or facebook posts don't require as much writing they can
be rapidly generated a message like
"windows service pk 1 works great with window-eyes." than you just hit
send.
No going through all the extra steps to put together an email.
You can do it on your mobile phone quickly like texting.
So, both the gw list and social networking are great and used for
different reasons which may at times overlap.

If you don't use Twitter, that's fine. No one expects you to. But you
also lose out on the information being presented through our Twitter
feeds. That's just how it works. If you don't use it, you don't get
the
information. As I mentioned, if something is really important, we post
to all of our lists. This was not that important.
