no never thought of being an editor for a tabloid. I am of course willing
to accept that people have the right to choose for themselves what they
want or don't want. no problem. in fact I would be willing to fight for
said right. after all this is the land of the free and so we should have
the right to free choices.
that being said there is an old saying my rights ends where your nose
begins. so yes I have the right to choose. but I don't have the right to
demand you or anyone else accommodate my choice. if I choose to not use
lets say this maling list then I can't blaim anyone for not getting the
information provided here. I can't say oh we all don't use maling lists
so provide it to me on the blog. so sure I accept that there are choices
more choice the better. that being said I also understand that choices
come with consequences and so my choices reflect this. we don't all use
twitter so post here to? reminds me of the little boy who says hay dad I
did not know I need to mow the lawn today. dad then says why not son. it
was on the chart right there on the wall. so should the kid have been
able to say well dad we don't all read the chart so maybe you should have
said something at brakfast. no of course not. the information was there
the kid decided not to use it simple as that. for his choice he gets
grounded for a week. for all choices and actions there is some kind of
reaction. asking others to make it where you don't have to face this fact
is obserd in the exstreem.

Ever think of applying for a job as editor for the tabloids? Feel free
to be anything you want, just let this go and let people decide for
themselves what they want or dont want.

hi, ok as a consumer here is what I want from a company. one I want
informatin provided to me on a timely bases.
two I want the company to inform me where I can go to get such
information.
three I want this information in a form that I can access.
after the company has done these things it is my job to get the
information. for example if I know there is an anounce list then I can
sign up for that. if I would rather have the support list I can sign up
for that. now I get not only the news but I see and can post messages
ofering help and getting it at times in return. now I find they offer a
news letter so I sign up to have that mailed to me. do I exspect every
article that is in the news letter to show up on the mailing list. no of
course not. now there is this thing called a blog they replaced the news
letter with the blog. the company needs to make sure I understand this
and know how to sign up for the rss feed that will provide me this new
blog. they don't have to keep up the old system just because I have never
used rss. once again I don't exspect messages to show up on the support
list telling how he nearly got run over buy a car and how wonderful his
note taker was. that isn't the point. now you got this twitter feed
thing. so now the company needs to make sure I know it is there it is my
choice to use it or not. they don't have to offer exactly the same
things. infact they shouldn't this list is for support and news at gw
micro like window-eyes 7.5. this was big news and showed up on the
support list and the twitter feed. as it should. but this showed up on
the twitter feed and had no point on the list.
about 2 hours ago, GW Micro posted @Mongoose_Q Which pause are you
referring to?
also would you want every tweet about every app posted.
oh and should the tweet about chips classes be sent even though it was
talked about here before it was sent out.
it is the companys job to provide it. once it is provided and I know
where to get it it is my job to sign up and it is my job to read what I
subscribed to.
if that is an e-mail list twitter or an rss feed to review the twitter
acount.
once it was mail or a news letter we could get from an bbs. the voice of
vision. now it switched to a twitter and a blog feed. once this e-mail
list was a conference on the bbs. it changed gw micro told us what we
needed to do to deal with those changes. back then it was telix and
silver express mail reader. then it was an e-mail client like internet
mail and news. so there is your standpoint from the consumer point of
view.

Again, another apologetic. How about taking the position as a
consumer?
GW Micro staff makes its money by producing products which are used by
consumers...that is you and I. Do consumers not also have a limited
amount
of time in a day? Do you sit in front of the tv or radio and listen to
all
the ness networks 24/7 or read a half dozen newspapers in order to stay
current with events? Some people may be junkies in this respect but most
are not.
You commented "...is if we're willing to spend a few minutes looking
into the situation."
So we all should take a couple minutes more to do something and let GW
Micro spend a couple minutes less to put out information?

Hi. This thread brings up an issue that to me is a problem. Some
comments have been made that it would take no time for Aaron to make
sure that emails are also sent with any kind of information. If any
busy person yields to too many of these seemingly small demands his
day's schedule would be more than full. If he takes the 30 seconds to
email he may not answser your support call quite as fast. The web
content may be delayed, when the release comes out your copy of WE may
wait as well. Oh yes, they are putting out a new version. It's not a
good idea for non involved persons to try to dictate how another busy
person uses his time. The info is there, if we use our resources we can
get it without signing up for anything, that is if we're willing to
spend a few minutes looking into the situation.

um no. he is explaining the facts of life to you. if you don't keep
up with the times you miss out. I got dragged in to twitter kicking
and screaming but now I am here I find it quite useful. you see
twitter is like any other tool use it effectively and you will get good
stuff from it use it to follow just anyone and you will get a lot of
useless information. if you find this to be the case then this means
that your not using it effectively. of course there are exceptions to
this. I followed the author of quitter because I thought this would
let me know about updates to the program. it does this how-ever he
likes to go on about all manor of other things. so in this case
effective use means that I follow him because I want some of what he
has to provide and I skip over the stuff that I don't need. another
example Skype. this is useful for finding out what is going on with
Skype but they publish from time to time a feel good story that doesn't
help me much.
now the gw micro tweet is wonderful. every pece of information posted
was useful in some way. so twitter is not bad at all it just needs to
be used effectively. and it works good with quitter and window-eyes.
have not done the face book thing. can anyone give me a good reason
for doing so. if so how well does it work with window-eyes. tried
myspace and hated it.

If you don't use Twitter, that's fine. No one expects you
to. But you also lose out on the information being presented
through our Twitter feeds. That's just how it works. If you
don't use it, you don't get the information. As I mentioned,
if something is really important, we post to all of our
lists. This was not that important.
