Hello all, This is Ahmed Khater, A blind computer user and assistive technology training consultant from Egypt. I am pretty new to Window-Eyes and I am really thrilled about the rapid development to this screen reader since the introduction of its 7th version. I am have some inquiries to which I hope I can receive your feedback:
1. I am currently using Window-Eyes v7.2 on a windows XP platform with the latest scripts from the GWMicro web site. However, with reference to Skype, I noticed that Skype scripts v3.3 have some missing functions and hotkeys that were previously available in the 2.75 version of the scripts. How can we restore such functions? Can we make a merge between the 2.75 and 3.3 versions? or is there a way to send our requests with the missing functions to be incorporated in an update to the 3.3 version? for your reference, below is a list of the missing functions and hotkeys: 1. Speak Last Message: Speaks the last message spoken, Control -Shift-Windows-1 2. Speak Active Chats: Speaks all open chat windows, and their members, Control -Shift-Windows-2 3. Get Current Call Duration: Speaks the legnth of the current call, Control -Shift-Windows- T 4. Speak Current Call: Speaks the current incoming call message, Control -Shift-Windows- Q 5. Show Last 10 Messages: Displays a list of the last 10 received messages, Control -Shift-Windows-3 6. Speak Last Status: Speaks the last contact status (such as who signed in or out last),Control -Shift-Windows-4 7. Show Skype Event History: Displays the last several events that happened in Skype, Control -Shift-Windows-5 Another issue that worries me with quick quit scripts is that when I press the hot key control plus insert plus f4, the overall performance of my machine is remarkably slowing down to the point of freezing. Has any of you suffered from the same symptom with the Quick quit script? Thank you for your response and I hope I won't be annoying you with my questions every now and then while I perfect this marvelous screen reader. Best Regards Ahmed Khater [email protected] It's always hope that gives meaning to life If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
