Hello, it sounds like maybe your desktop icons are not showing up. Do a
context key press while nothing is selected on the desktop and arrow
down to the view menu and press enter. Now arrow down to the show
desktop icons and if it does not say checked, press enter to toggle it
on. This should fix it.
