Please. I'm just trying to be realistic. I've been using computers
for 20 something years now and have never seen the ability to pick
and choose what upgrades I want to pay for and which ones I don't.
Sure, there's been incentive programs, which is probably what you're
talking about, and pricing scales depending on what version you use,
and so on. But I know I don't have a program on this computer that I
can skip an update on and pay the same price for the next version
that everyone who has purchased the upgrade I didn't does.

Yeh, the user interface is a great improvement for newbies, but of
little consequence for us old timers. UIA will be of great benefit when
apps come out that support it.
Let's hope that 8.0 fixes more of the intrinsic problems with Windows 7.
