Amen! Me also! Oh, of course, the headset needs a microphone.
My headset covers only one ear and has a microphone.
It might be blue tooth capable. Not real sure but I think it might ben around
$500.

But I could be wrong.
Good luck.

Subject: RE: How Can I Best Talk On Phone And Use Screen Reader At Same Time

Hi Ted,

The headset for hands free phone usage is the easy part.

Being able to concentrate on what the screen reader is saying, a very important
thing, and being able to focus on what the caller is saying, also very
important, is the had part. At least for me.

It can be done though. One of my favorite ways to practice the skill of
processing multiple simultaneous audio feeds is to listen to music while
listening to an audio book and trying to concentrate on each. Keeping human
and synthesized speech separate, yet absorbing both, is much harder. Good luck!

Don

Subject: How Can I Best Talk On Phone And Use Screen Reader At Same Time

Dear List:
I am applying to various customer service jobs. What do I need to get so that
I don't have to cradle the phone between shoulder and head while typing on the
keyboard listening to both the screen reader and the person talking on the
phone? And, would you describe the solution and tell me where I can get such
devices to talk, listen and type for extended periods of time?
Thanks for your ideas. Regards: Ted Larson If you reply to this message it
