Hi. Well, I spoke too soon in an earlier post, smile. I have now had my voice settings revert to a global setting on my two-month old Dell XPS-501-x laptop running Window-eyes 7.5 with Eloquence as my preferred synthesizer. I have my voice settings with the screen, keyboard, and mouse voices set for each mode.
Since I noticed that the Eloquence synthesizer had switched to a global Paul voice, I exited Window-eyes 7.5 while listening to an internet stream and tried relaunching it. When I press the control-alt-w hotkey, Window-eyes 7.5 will not launch. Incidentally, the way I know when Eloquence switches to a global voice, is when I press the bottom numbpad key and the mouse voice sounds like Paul. Now, the only way I'll be able to get Window-eyes to launch is to reboot the computer. Hmmm, what's going on? Oh, I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and all updates are current. I am using I e 9 as my browser. I just now tried pressing the control-alt-w keys again and Window-eyes did not launch. ? Mike M.
