Hi Robert and Tom, thanks for your replies.

So, that is the cause of Eloquence slowing down. As I have been experimenting with Eloquence for only a couple of days, the circumstances causing the slow down were not obvious.

Yes, I also have problems understanding Dec Talk.

Cheers
Neville.

Lol, sorry about that, it was just a demonstration. I do know how to
punctuate. This problem isn't a big enough deal to switch synths for,
though. Eloquence is really the best one as it seems to have the right
modulation and frequency for my damaged ears. Dec talk and espeak and
stuff like that, I can usually only understand about one word in three.

Unfortunately it's an ancient oddity that's been in Eloquence for as
long as I can remember. I seldom use that synth, but was using it
recently and reminded of this. I've never heard of any workaround for it.

Regards,
Tom

Hi,

Using W7 HP 32, WE 7.5

Now that my Triple Talk USB is giving trouble, I have been
experimenting with Eloquence and the WE Dec Talk while a decision is
made whether to buy an external synthesiser or use one of the above .

Although Eloquence gives the more accurate pronumciation, to my ears
anyway, after reading a paragraph or two, the speech slows and
becomes deeper.

Is there anyway of fixing this problem?

Thanks
Neville.
