Well unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, I
think version numbers being read when window-eyes starts up are a thing
of the past. i suppose someone could write a script for this task, but
since you know you've installed 7.5.1, i'm not sure why you'd need to
hear it? I guess it's just one of those things...it's been there
forever, and now that it's gone it seems a bit strange not to have it
announced. Clearly the decision has been made. and I'm ok with it since
I know I installed 7.5.1.
Thanks.On 6/22/2011 12:09 PM, Sandra Fouts wrote:
I also would want it turned on. I haven't updated yet at home or here, So now if you
need to shutdown window-eyes, it doesn not say, "7.5.1?"

well I think there should be an option in startup. 1. speak program name and
version number at start up. 2. speak program name only. 3. speak no start
message.
my choice would be 3 no start message just get to work reading windows. I
don't need to be told I am running window-eyes I know this allready.

Hi,
I prefer the version numbers to be spoken when We turns on.
