Hi, I thought this problem was unique to me. It is happening to me with telnet and/or putty. Doesn't happen all the time, but, when it does, I get the bleep noise through my pc speaker as well. Here is what I do to resolve it without rebooting. 1. Have a desktop shortcut setup to kill we. 2. Kill we with the keystroke. I made ctrl-alt-l for mine. 3. Restart the we program ctrl-alt-w. 4. We comes up and asks if I want to send an error report. I did the first few times until I figured it was a prob with my system. Now, I just delete the error and move on. Am on a Dell laptop latitude 630 with 2gb ram running xp pro. HTH Warm Regards.. Joe Lanier
_____ From: shannon [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, July 11, 2011 1:29 PM To: [email protected] Subject: There is something wrong with the mouse in 7.5.1 I have been experiencing WE total crashing when I invoke the mouse in our accounting program. I open the payroll module and enter into an employee and use the mouse to find the total hours for the week and after a few employees treated like this WE goes silent and I just know in my heart that WE is gone. A minuet later I will hear my tower make a bleep noise and WE is no longer going to speak. I am not able to stop it with the task manager or restart we because it says that it is running. The only way to bring it back is a restart of the computer. This is an XP pro machine. I have had this happen at least four times last week and again just a few minutes ago. I have sent in the error reports that WE generates after a computer re boot. This is not what happened in 7.2 this only started with 7.5.1. I have no idea what is wrong but the mouse has some sort of illness. Smile It makes WE sick and that is all she wrote until a reboot. Anyone else having this problem? Shannon.
