Hi Brian, ON your setup pressing control backslash does the same thing as
pressing alt tab to get to the window-eyes control panel, except that control
backslash does it in one keypress. Depending on how many things you have open
at any one time, you may need a lot of alt tabbing to get you to window-eyes.

You can also set it up so that window-eyes is not on the task bar. In this
case, alt tab will not get you there at all, but control backslash will. Some
one would choose this setup if they constantly have a lot of windows open and
alt tab takes a long time to get to any given window. This way Window-eyes
will be one less thing they have to alt tab through on their way to something
else. Then the only way to get window-eyes is control backslash.

These are old window-eyes conventions from ever since I've been using it in the
4.5 days and older.

The control panel itself has a new layout as you observed. There are some
informational podcasts and probably a kb article on it which you should check
out.
