you do not want to use alt tab with w e 7.51 anyway because when you do most of
the time the wrong set file will be opened. not the real set file that is
associated with the program you are running.
usually default.set or wineyes.set will open and you will make changes to the
wrong set file.

Hi Brian, ON your setup pressing control backslash does the same thing as
pressing alt tab to get to the window-eyes control panel, except that control
backslash does it in one keypress. Depending on how many things you have open
at any one time, you may need a lot of alt tabbing to get you to window-eyes.

You can also set it up so that window-eyes is not on the task bar. In this
case, alt tab will not get you there at all, but control backslash will. Some
one would choose this setup if they constantly have a lot of windows open and
alt tab takes a long time to get to any given window. This way Window-eyes
will be one less thing they have to alt tab through on their way to something
else. Then the only way to get window-eyes is control backslash.

These are old window-eyes conventions from ever since I've been using it in
the 4.5 days and older.

The control panel itself has a new layout as you observed. There are some
informational podcasts and probably a kb article on it which you should check
out.

Hi list, when 7.5 came available, and the 751, although i got them, i
didn't install them at that time, because of illness in the family.
consequently, i didn't read the messages which appeared on this list. i have
now installed these upgrades. i noticed that one of the messages, advised
someone to use control backslash to bring up wineyes. in previous versions, in
wineyes one used alt f to reach the file menu, and alt plus right arrows to
reach other parts of wineyes. i was surprised that someone advised control back
slash, because if i alt tab to wineyes, i find that it is already open.
offering all sorts of choices. does this mean that when i installed it, i did
something wrong. if anyone has an opinion, please advise. If you reply to this
