Hi,

Believe it or not, there is an app which will make the use of the control-alt-arrow keys no longer necessary. It is called "Toggle Punctuation" and does that and more. I am lost without it. Here are the keystrokes I use quite frequently, and have no issue with worrying about which direction my screen might face:

alt-grave accent increases volume
alt-shift-grave accent decreases volume
control-grave accent changes speed
control-shift-grave accent reduces speed

Of course, this does not give availability to changing pitch or tone, but they can be changed readily enough under the WE control panel screen settings. I hope this is helpful.

We have seen this kind of msg on this list posted over the last few years
as a WE user uses their arrow keys which, if the wrong keystrokes are
made, also turns the screen sidways for a sighted user.
This problem was reminded to me by my sighted wife last night when I just
did this on a laptop which we share upon occasion.

This brings up an idea which has occurred to me in the past: has anyone
written (or thought of writing) a script/app which could be invoked to
immediately fix this situation for the benefit of the sighted user?
I (and probably more importantly, my sighted wife) would value such an
effort.

Thanks!
