Hi Chris:
I have two suggestions:
Yyou can go on the AppCentral website and make sure your friend has
the latest version of AppGet.
Or, you can have your friend disable the AppGet app and install the
Install Packages app by Jamal Masrui, and use that one to update the
apps.  I, myself, prefer that app anyway.
